The staff will assist you with any necessary paperwork and other requirements relative to your insurance provider. We file all insurance claims as a service to our patients.
If your insurance company requires a referral for you to see a specialist, please work with your primary care doctor to secure the referral number before you arrive at our office.
Screening exams are not covered by Medicare and other insurance companies. However, if your study is ordered by your physician to evaluate for a specific condition it may be covered by your insurance plan. Depending on your specific insurance policy pre-authorization may be necessary.
Health insurance is designed to help you meet the cost of medical services. In most cases, it is not designed to pay total fees. Each policy and provider offers its own terms. Please be familiar with your coverage when discussing any claim with us. If you are unsure of your policy coverage, we recommend that you call the 1-800 number listed on the back of your insurance card.
We will ask you to be responsible for payment if you are not covered by insurance plans for which we are providers.
We have made every effort to ensure that our fees reflect the usual and customary fees for our area. Like everyone else in the community, physicians appreciate prompt payment for their services.
We sincerely want to provide the highest quality medical care at a reasonable cost and will openly discuss fees and billing policies with you. We urge you to discuss any financial problems with us so payment arrangements, acceptable to both parties, may be made. |
